Glacier Ice Rink, run by the Missoula Area Youth Hockey Association, received a $10,000 donation from the Fraternal Order of Eagles #32 to help with the rink's fundraising efforts for new bleachers. "They contacted us after hearing about our situation," stated Laura Henning, MAYHA executive director. "They said that they wanted to support both the fundraising campaign as well as get involved with our youth hockey program. We are absolutely thrilled with their generosity and look forward to the beginning of a great relationship."
FOE trustees Tim Raymond, Trent Sinclair and Perry Francis were on hand for the check presentation to MAYHA board secretary Colleen Leadbetter and youth hockey director Gary Jahrig.
With this donation, Glacier Ice Rink has now raised $52,000, which is just over the halfway mark of the $100,000 needed for new bleachers.
